Scoop: Diebold Targeted By Electronic Civil Disobedience
I've complained in the past about how politicians are bought by lobbyists on capital hill but a lot of this is due to lack of political participation by politician's constituents. Well, everyone's participation is being undermined by sloppy and irresponsible corporations like Diebold who are providing electronic voting solutions.
If the issue doesn't reach critical mass, the danger is now that people won't trust the democratic process as a whole. The question about the hanging chads will get a lot nastier if we don't see some responsibility taken by these companies creating the voting solutions.
