My head hurts.
Today started out bad when I tried to look for my badge (haven't had it for the past 4 days) and couldn't find it. Not having a badge makes parking downtown fairly difficult.
I haven't been downtown in about a month and a half and oh how things have changed. While I was gone, there were some major moves going on with IT management moving down into the wing of the building where my team sits as well as 3 other IT teams moving into the same vicinity. My desk has been moved and cube walls put up which is somewhat nice. There is a bit more isolation now and not as much of a "team" thing going on. I had a good meeting regarding my offsite exit plan at our press facility and completion of my project. I'll miss working out there as I have enjoyed the opportunity immensely.
Well around 3pm my head decided to hurt really bad and I became nauseous. I decided at 4:30 to leave work and go home because the last time this happened this bad, I puked at work. NO FUN. So I went home (skipping class) and chilled for about two and a half hours. About that time I was feeling better and looking at the clock, I had only missed about 1.5 hours of class. So instead of regretting it and getting an absense in a 5 session course, I went. Class was good, we're discussing a lot of human resource management stuff. I need to paste this somewhere constantly in view but basically "Quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger."
If one thing that I realize, it's that I need to let people express themselves completely (within reason) before I speak so I get a chance to see their view and not make them feel cut off.
OH!!!! And Ashley Judd was downtown in our newsroom with Bono and Chris Tucker doing some meeting with the Star's editorial board. Too bad I missed her and had to back up to the PPC (Pulliam Production Centre, the offsite press facility).
